  • Gas/Propane Grilling Class:

  • Big Jim's BBQ is now announcing their 2.5 hour Gas/Propane Grilling classes!!! Classes will include Seafood, Aged Steaks, Chicken, and Seasonal Veggies. The class will go over several wonderful San Francisco style grilling recipes that are tasty and easy to make. Chef Jim will walk you through the basic techniques of the gas/propane grill. All food demonstrated during class will be eaten by students. Classes will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting in April at Barbeques Galore in San Rafael, CA.   • Competition BBQ class:

  • Combining modern San Francisco barbeque with southern influences, Big Jim’s Competition BBQ class teaches novice chefs the ins and outs of cooking with charcoal and wood in a BBQ smoker and grill. Led by award winning barbeque guru Chef Jim Modesitt the class includes all food and supplies, turning barbeque novices into King or Queen of barbeque with dishes like Chef Jim's award winning Ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, salmon, beans, brisket, and much more. Budding barbeque chefs will learn to barbeque using wood and charcoal to smoke and grill meats. Chef Jim shows the students how to use meat injections, dry rubs, marinades, mop sauces, brines, and homemade-barbeque sauces. Students leave with a wealth of knowledge and a full belly!
