Big Jim's 5-hour

Competition BBQ class:

  • Combining modern San Francisco barbeque with southern influences, Big Jim’s Competition BBQ class teaches novice chefs the ins and outs of cooking with charcoal and wood in a BBQ smoker and grill. Led by award winning barbeque guru Chef Jim Modesitt the class includes all food and supplies, turning barbeque novices into King or Queen of barbeque with dishes like Chef Jim's award winning Ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, salmon, beans, brisket, and much more. Budding barbeque chefs will learn to barbeque using wood and charcoal to smoke and grill meats. Chef Jim shows the students how to use meat injections, dry rubs, marinades, mop sauces, brines, and homemade-barbeque sauces. Students leave with a wealth of knowledge and a full belly!
