If you are looking for a class in San Francisco we need to wait for good weather as the class is heald outside

Classes are in the back follow driveway to back parking lot

You will be emailed location as we have many locations in the Bay Area

More class dates will be announced at the begining of each month.  We are working to provide multiple locations for classes in San Francisco Bay Area. We cant wait to see you in class

To register for a class:

WITHOUT ALL THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION YOU WILL NOT BE REGISTERED FOR A CLASS!

~Pick 1 date from our schedule (LEFT side of this page) you are available to attend class, listing preferance. CLASSES ARE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE!

~Full name of each student attending

~Valid voucher number for each student, as each voucher is good for only one student.

If you are attending class as part of a group please register the entire group in one message to insure attendance to the same class. Please include all of the above information to complete registration. This is a prepaid class, to inquire about purchasing a voucher please email class@bigjimbbq.com 

EXPIRATION DATES -- YOU  MUST REGISTER BY THE EXPIRATION DATE ON YOUR VOUCHER, EVEN IF THE CLASS IS AFTER THE EXPIRATION. VOUCHERS ARE REDEEMED AT TIME OF REGISTRATION. EXPIRED VOUCHERS CAN BE USED WITH AN ADDITIONAL $40 FEE ON THE DAY OF CLASS.

Big Jim's 5-hour

Competition BBQ class:

  • Combining modern San Francisco barbeque with southern influences, Big Jim’s Competition BBQ class teaches novice chefs the ins and outs of cooking with charcoal and wood in a BBQ smoker and grill. Led by award winning barbeque guru Chef Jim Modesitt the class includes all food and supplies, turning barbeque novices into King or Queen of barbeque with dishes like Chef Jim's award winning Ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, salmon, beans, brisket, and much more. Budding barbeque chefs will learn to barbeque using wood and charcoal to smoke and grill meats. Chef Jim shows the students how to use meat injections, dry rubs, marinades, mop sauces, brines, and homemade-barbeque sauces. Students leave with a wealth of knowledge and a full belly!
